Melissa Jane was the celebrant at both my Mother and Father’s funerals within 6 months of each other. We could not have asked for a more caring , empathetic or professional person to lead the ceremonies which is why we requested to have Melissa Jane again.Her eulogies for each parent reflected them perfectly even though she only heard about their lives via my brother and myself. She was able to intersperse appropriate humour into the very sad occasions and her excellence was also commented on by many of the guests.

We cannot thank Melissa Jane enough for the beautiful way she led the celebration of life for my stepfather, John Clifford-Pendleton. From our very first meeting, Melissa’s warmth and empathy made a difficult time much easier to navigate. She didn’t just ‘run a service’; she took the time to truly understand who John was – his quirks, his stories, and the legacy he left behind. The ceremony was a perfect reflection of him – respectful, personal, and filled with genuine heart. Family was everything to John, and Melissa Jane captured that essence perfectly. Melissa, thank you for helping us give John the send-off he truly deserved.

Melissa was recommended to us by our funeral director as being very good at what she does, and, boy, were they right. She gave us the exact sort of relaxed, heartfelt, fuss-free service we wanted, and listened carefully to all the small details of my Dad’s life, even the throwaway remarks, to create the most beautiful eulogy. Her calm, dignified respect and warmth throughout the lead-up to the day, and the funeral itself, made a very emotional time much easier to bear, and the family will forever be grateful.
